HousingThe Housing Department and its field arm Provincial Housing Authority (PHA) with a vision i.e. “HOUSING FOR ALL” came into existence in 2004 and 2005 respectively. The Department is actually an offshoot of erstwhile PP&H Department and could be termed as legacy of that. In light of Vision/Aims and objectives the department functions/ activities rally round acquisition of land preferably state land or the private lands which after development into plots, if possible into housing units which then subsequently offer to the General public and Govt. Servants at the affordable rates. Objectives behind creation of the housing department khyberpaktunkhwa and its field arm PHA are to provide plots / housing units to the low income groups, that covers government servants and the general public on the affordable rates. In order to meet the objective, lands preferably government lands which in case is not available then private lands are acquired which after development in to the plots / housing units are offered to both i.e government servants and the general public.
