Islamabad | April 9, 2025 | NIC, Nexus Hall | 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM
In an event that gracefully blended celebration with vision, TrulyPakistan and Tour De Pakistan came together at the National Incubation Center in Islamabad to formalize a strategic partnership aimed at digitally transforming Pakistan’s travel and tourism sector. The evening was not just about signing an agreement—it was about signaling a shift. It marked the merging of Pakistan’s storied adventure heritage with its fast-emerging digital capabilities.
The event opened with a meaningful gesture—a Tree Plantation Ceremony symbolizing the shared values of sustainability, stewardship, and legacy. Leading the ceremony was Captain Niaz Ahmed, Chairman of the Pakistan Association of Tour Operators (PATO), whose longstanding leadership and advocacy for structured, policy-driven tourism development have shaped industry practices nationwide. His presence at the event highlighted the importance of institutional backing in elevating Pakistan’s tourism narrative on the global stage. Joining him was Saad Tariq Siddiqui, affectionately known as the Santa Claus of the Karakorams—a celebrated mountaineer with over five decades of experience, known for mentoring generations of climbers and promoting inclusive adventure culture across Pakistan. Their joint participation gave the occasion both historical weight and future-facing significance.
Following the plantation, the audience was drawn into a journey—one not through mountains, but through time. Muhammad Tahir, the Founder of Tour De Pakistan, stood before the crowd and unfolded a story that resonated deeply with many. A decade ago, Tahir made a decision that would shape not only his life but also influence the future of adventure travel in Pakistan. Leaving behind a secure job as an engineer, he chose to follow his calling to the mountains. What began as solo climbs and exploratory treks soon evolved into Tour De Pakistan—a platform that connected local communities with global adventurers and elevated Pakistan’s tourism identity in the international sphere.
The event itself was hosted by TrulyPakistan’s co-founder Salman Nasir, who took it as a personal responsibility to not only celebrate Tour De Pakistan’s decade-long journey but also to shine a light on the possibilities that emerge when tradition meets technology. In his remarks, Salman emphasized the importance of collaborative initiatives like this and presented a compelling case for why digitization is no longer optional, but essential for the growth of Pakistan’s tourism ecosystem. His presentation demonstrated how travel-tech solutions like Domin8 CRM can simplify operations, empower local businesses, and enhance the experience for every traveler engaging with Pakistan.
A visual timeline was also presented, showcasing key milestones of Tour De Pakistan’s journey over the last ten years. These included landmark expeditions to Panj Peer Rocks, Mingleak Sar, Karombar Lake, and Rakaposhi Base Camp, as well as international engagements at Elbrus Peak in Russia, Rinjani Peak in Indonesia, and multiple FIFA World Cup appearances. Each journey illustrated not just adventure, but impact—on people, communities, and perceptions of Pakistan worldwide.
With the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding, Tour De Pakistan officially integrated TrulyPakistan’s Domin8 CRM as the digital engine for its operations. From automated traveler communication and booking systems to digital itineraries and payment processes, the integration is expected to reduce manual workload, improve efficiency, and allow for greater focus on customer experience and scale.
“This partnership is the start of how we change travel and improve the image of Pakistan,” said ZunNurain Khalid, Founder and CEO of TrulyPakistan. “We’re not just introducing new tools. We’re laying the foundation for a digitally empowered, culturally rooted tourism ecosystem.”
The MoU signing drew heartfelt applause, marking a defining moment for both organizations. It was more than a formal handshake—it was a public declaration of commitment to transforming the tourism landscape of Pakistan through technology, collaboration, and shared purpose.
Guests then moved into an engaging Networking Tea session, where participants shared their excitement and future ideas while recording messages of support. Conversations flowed between tour operators, designers, filmmakers, entrepreneurs, and mountaineering legends—all inspired by the possibilities that lay ahead.
Both TrulyPakistan and Tour De Pakistan remain united in their belief that while technology can streamline and scale, it must never overpower the human essence of travel. Their shared mission is rooted in preserving authenticity, enabling community ownership, and elevating the narratives that make Pakistan a truly unique destination.
“It is our responsibility to give back to our country and promote it properly,” said Salman Nasir. “Tourism should be meaningful, dignified, and inclusive—and technology can help us make that happen.”
As Pakistan’s tourism industry stands on the edge of transformation, this collaboration signals the beginning of something powerful. A shift from disconnected efforts to an integrated ecosystem. A step from storytelling alone to storytelling backed by systems. And a future where Pakistan isn’t just visited—it’s deeply experienced, digitally connected, and globally respected.
“We’re not just transforming processes—we’re reshaping perceptions,” added ZunNurain. “This is how we tell Pakistan’s story—one trail, one trip, one traveler at a time.”
Follow the journey. Embrace the change. Rediscover Pakistan.
